As executive producer of DAWSON'S CREEK, Paul Stupin brings his expansive programming development experience and his award-winning production history to the phenomenally successful series.
A graduate of Massachusetts' Williams College with a degree in English, Stupin's professional media career began in series development at NBC in Los Angeles in 1984. Moving from manager of drama development to director of drama development, Stupin worked on such popular series as "The A Team" and "Remington Steele."
From network television, Stupin segued to feature films as vice president of production for TriStar Pictures in 1986. During his tenure with TriStar, Stupin was responsible for intensive script development and the production management of the award-winning "Steel Magnolias" starring Sally Field, Julia Roberts, Shirley MacLaine, Olympia Dukakis and Darryl Hannah; "Nothing in Common" with Tom Hanks; "Short Circuit" and "Short Circuit II" as well as "Like Father, Like Son."
Stupin returned to television in 1989 as executive vice president of programming for the Fox Broadcasting Company. During his three years with the network, Stupin oversaw the creation and development of "Beverly Hills, 90210," "Parker Lewis Can't Lose," and "In Living Color." He departed from Fox to join Reeves Television in 1992 as executive producer with responsibility for developing pilots for all four major networks. More recently, he has served as executive producer on such series as "Fortune Hunter" and "My Wildest Dreams."
