Confession: This is really my sister's recipe. I'm a pathetic cook. You can ask Andie, or Jen. But Andie says we have to bring a vegetable. So… here goes:
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 1/2 lbs. celery hearts - trimmed & cut into 3-4" lengths.
Arrange in large skillet and top with:
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 3 tbsp. butter cut into small pieces
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
DIRECTIONS:
Bring liquid to boil. Cover skillet with foil, then the lid. Simmer until tender - about 25 minutes. Transfer celery to a plate and keep warm. Boil remaining liquid over medium heat until there is about ½ cup left. Add 1 tbsp. butter and stir until melted. Pour over celery and serve.
