This Month's Upcoming events include:
Graduation Rehearsal ... takes place the day before Graduation. Principal Peskin reminds all graduating seniors to attend. Also, those who will not be graduating are not permitted to attend. Why would you want to?
Graduation Ceremony...
takes place on Wednesday, May 16th. Don't be late, don't forget your cap and gown, don't forget to wear clothes underneath your cap and gown… and most importantly don't drink too much coffee or you'll have to pee during the ceremony.
Senior Soiree! ...
The night before the ceremony, don't miss the big celebration to say goodbye to your CHS friends. It's a non-alcohol night at Oyster Bar… be there!!
Summer School Begins... For seniors who aren't gonna be picking up diplomas next week, you can sign up to make up whatever outstanding courses you have, and if you successfully complete them, you can apply for August graduation.
Prom Photos... Place your orders for those awkward, painfully posed portraits taken by the so-called professional photographers on prom night in the Lobby this afternoon through Friday afternoon… that is, if you actually want to remember prom night…

Goodbye CapeNet!
Well, we survived budget cuts, disenfranchisement from CHS, and even your crazy letters to the editor. But now, nothing can save Capenet from its inevitable extinction as of the end of the school year. You see, aside from a few contributions from a few noted columnists here at CHS, this publication has been almost entirely my burden to bear. I wrote the stupid news articles, I told you what was gonna happen - I even published your letters no matter how much they sucked. (Note to those who don't suck: I don't mean you.) I put up with your apparent obsession with living vicariously through the love lives of your fellow students, and your letters to me telling me who should be with who, as if the editor of an online newspaper has any control over these aforementioned relationships. Blah blah blah! Forgive me when I say I don't care whether Belinda and Chris are together, or Marcy and Todd, or of course Pacey and Joey. I tried to put out a newspaper to keep you informed about what was going on around you. But the numbers pretty much reduce readership to a cult following status at best. Still I hoped against hope that I would find an intrepid junior willing to take over the reins… but in the absence of such a student, I'm paid up through the end of the month for the server space, and the URL will revert back to CHS. But after that… who knows… Go ahead. If you want to start your own be my guest. I can't say the experience was entirely without its rewards. When you are your own editor, nobody censors you or tells you what to say. Try to apply that philosophy to life.
Yearbook Time!
Yes, it's Tricorn time! Our ridiculously named yearbook has begun to grace the halls of Capeside High with its presence and it's about as lame as last year's Tricorn. However, if you're into hard copies of all your priceless memories, you might just want to pick one up in the cafeteria 4-7th period all this week. However, if you don't feel like coughing up the $50 for the thing, or if you want to be cooler than your peers, or even if you have one already - check out the much cooler version of Tricorn - the Capeside High Online Yearbook! For the first time ever, you can be part of the ever-growing, ever-evolving version of the yearbook. Upload your photo directly into the CHS senior class page. Create your own profile. Sign each other's books. Read the articles YOU wrote. CHS actually provided funding for this endeavor, but it's on a test basis. How successful it is this year will determine if they'll ever bother to do it again. The choice is yours. This is your chance to make history so don't blow it. Check out the Online Yearbook @ capesidehigh.com/yearbook.
