Civilization
The set is built at a practical location in what was an empty brick warehouse. Initially the site was chosen because Pacey was going to work at a nightclub/bar and the warehouse was in an industrial part of town. Only ten days before it was to shoot the direction for Pacey’s story arc changed and he was going to work in a restaurant instead. So in less than 2 weeks, we changed the set from an industrial, techno dance club into the set that you now see. It involved tearing down a lot of metal walls and aluminum framing and building the brick archways you see, building the entire kitchen from scratch, finding and installing carpeting, tables, the lounge, tiling, place settings, creating menus, new artwork, light fixtures and on and on. We have a great crew, which includes: Matt Sullivan (Set Decorator), Bill Davis (Art Decorator), Richard ‘Petie’ Waldrop (Props), and Michael Hall (Construction Coordinator).
